question for the mac buzzards

I just bought a macbook (and the next day, new versions of the macbook came out, but that's not my question) and when I disconnect the headphones, there's a five second delay before the speakers kick in. Is this normal or should I return it for a new MB?

We don't have an Apple store in Baton Rouge. Have to see if Best Buy has the new models.

The lesson I learned was the book slowed me down. If you do get stuck, we have a fine mod in our Mac OS forum.

I usually do the inside out type of book reading Sams or Sybex, Que .. Hayden... etc. These are more like tech manuals 700-2000 page monsters.
If you really want to learn how to enjoy the computer for what it is... Explore it. Check every thing out.
You Won't know all the special key combinations so the book that is essential for practically anything (even games like WOW) O'Reilly Desktop Reference books. they are about 30-40 pages and cost around 8$ USD. You can pick them up on Half for almost nothing if you don't mind used.
These books have all the information needed to get you started and easy to thumb through if you forget something.
