I have a habit of writing really long emails detailing subjects that often are of minimal interest to those the emails are address too. Hey, I'm retired and have a few minutes to spare.
I wrote a fairly long email "well actuallying" (is that a word?) a few of the comments on a recent BOL episode (665) regarding Space Data, Google and the use of high altitude balloons as cell phone "repeaters" at high altitude.
The BOL crew was amused by my voluminous verbiage and encouraged me to post it SOMEWHERE ELSE and place a link to it here in the Lounge.
Ok, for anyone who's interested:

Oh and the balloon scientist thing, well, in the old school, renaissance man sort of way, I might be considered a scientist in that I've been at this for almost 20 years. But in the new school, where's your degree from Bud sort of way, nope... I'm just one of the guys and don't have any letters I can attach to the suffixian location of my name. Thus, the quotes.
We really do appreciate you posting this.
Tom
