Help me take the last decision

by Amer Jarrar - 2/4/08 3:02 AM

I am going to buy one of these two desktops today I have almost made my mind on one but would appreciate your advice.

1st one is an ACER Aspire M3610
Dual core E2140
1.6GHZ, 2 GB RAM DVDRW
19" LCD (Not Bright screen)
Remote control,Keyboard, Mouse, speakers
Vista Home Premium
128 ATI graphics card

2nd one is HP
Dual core 3.0 GHZ, 1GB RAM, DVDRW
19"LCD HP Bright View (black border)
Expansion bay in the tower
Vista Home premium
64 dedicated graphics card.
Keyboard and Mouse and speakers

These are the two offers, I have another question on the acer when they say 128 ATI Graphics card is that dedicated or shared?

Thanks in advance

Acer

It's really your choice but I would always go for more RAM and a faster graphics card.

Here's Acer's specs on the computer;

and here is the ATI Radeon card;

The HP doesn't say what type of graphics card or what the model no of the computer is, so it is difficult to compare.

LCD Monitors

by MarkFlax Moderator - 2/4/08 11:38 AM In reply to: the Model by Amer Jarrar

Sorry but I know little about LCD Monitors even though I use a couple myself.

Although the display is very important I would not expect either Compaq/HP or Acer to supply monitors that are not up to the job, so, for myself, the main consideration would be the performance of the computer, and again that lack of RAM in the HP would concern me, especially for running Vista.

Good luck with your choice. Whatever you decide I'm sure you will enjoy it.
