About 2 months ago I purchased a Parrot Boombox Bluetooth audio device. My computer is a Dell Inspiron 1520 running vista with the following bluetooth hardware: Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator and Dell Truemobile 355 Bluetooth + EDR. The device did not work properly straight out of the box. My computer could add the device to my bluetooth profile but could not play music through the boombox. The frustrating part is that the computer would even show that in the audio tab of the bluetooth window, the devide was "connected" but it would not play sound through the device. I could run the update flash wizard to the device but could not play music.
Here's where it gets complicated. After hours of pulling my hair out I searched the web to solve the problem and it looked like it may be a vista drivers issue (if you can believe that). So I downloaded a pack that should fix the problem. Sadly, I do not remember the website I downloaded from.
Even once the drivers were installed I could play music only if I connected the bluetooth audio while the parrot flash update was connected to the device. Then the audio link would hold after the flash update was complete.
Recently I got a pop-up on the bottom of the screen when trying to connect to the device that new drivers had been installed. So I'm back to square one.
Where can I find drivers to fix this problem? Is there anything else I can do to make this easier? I've spent days of time on getting my computer to work with this device and I'm just about at the point where smashing it would be worth the money I paid for it.
Redo the search and download the driver again. copy it to another folder and use the download to reinstall the drivers.
See about firmware problems.
Instead of smashing it and wasting your money. If the device is that difficult and you can't use it: return it or try to sell it for a return on your investment.
