Phone without the service?
by emgreenusi - 2/7/08 11:51 AMcurrently I have AT&T service with a Motorola Rokr E1 phone...I really want the LG enV phone by verizon wireless but I don't want their service just the phone...so I'm wondering is it possible 4 me 2 just by the phone I want && still keep my AT&T service????...Like can I buy the enV && put my sim card in it or sumthing???

Sorry, that won't work. Verizon phones don't use sim-cards. To put it in technical terms: AT&T uses GSM, Verizon uses CDMA. And that's a totally different 'language'.

Thanks for letting me know that. The reason I want the enV is bcuz of it's slide && keyboard future. Could u recommend me a phone that has the slide/keyboard future like the enV but a phone I could use with my AT&T service? Thanks 4 your help.

Well I don't pay my phone bill, my dad does && everytime I ask 4 a phone he'll say "You have to wait until your contract is up" but he says that cause he doesn't want to buy me a new phone lol plus I kno I can put my sim card in a different phone && that'll work but I don't kno which phone it'll work for with my service.
I basiclly want a phone similar to the enV. I want my phone to have the slid/flip keybord future....you know like the sidekick, enV or something like that cause I text message a lot so I want a phone like that. Doesn't matter what color or anything && the price can't be too orazy.
