Hi,
I have an 80gb Seagate internal harddrive from my old eMachines desktop computer that I would like to enclose in a case. One because the computer's motherboard fried and I need to get the data off, and two, I'd like to use it as a backup drive with my new iMac.
I was looking on CircuitCity's website and there are different size enclosures like 3.5" and 2.5" and I was wondering how I tell what size it is? Do you measure the length, width, diagonal distance, or what of the drive?
Any help is much appreciate!
Thanks!
N Clark
Newer drives are SATA, old drives are likely to be IDE.
Here's an universal adapter -> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812232002
Here's one with a protective case -> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812119152
Thanks for the links! I actually wasn't thinking when I posted that forum and I just googled the model number and it gave me all the information. It's a 3.5" IDE drive. Thanks for the links though!
