Macbook Pro and A2DP

by Danwo - 1/24/08 12:25 AM

What's the deal with MBP and A2DP? Sure it's compatible with Leopard, not Tiger, but I hear that the sound quality is mighty poor.

Licensing.

I'm currently working with bluetooth on Palm devices and the issue is trying to get all the information needed to implement this. More at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A2DP#Advanced_Audio_Distribution_Profile_.28A2DP.29

I'm a little unclear on your question. Maybe you thought this stuff was working? Or didn't understand that the quality they implemented was for earphones so you don't want to pipe it to say "nice speakers."

MBP & A2DP

I heard from a number of places that the implementation of A2DP in Leopard was poor, resulting in even poorer sound quality despite the headphones actually being used. I'm asking how are other people's experience with their MBP.

I only tried it in the usual demo locations.

It seems ok but my bet is you will hear a difference from earphones over wireless vs. wired. Audiophiles will not want this.
