Originally set up on this PC but now it will not recognize the ipod to sync but does recognize the ipod. Reinstalled ITunes, no change. Anyone had this problem?
Time and time again I run into your issue but it's mostly on home installed Windows. Here's the driver most forget -> The motherboard chipset drivers.
Next in line are defective front USB ports. Tip: Use the rear ports.

HP installed and the I pod was able to sync until recently. We were having a problem with that Low Battery warning for the mouse so HP gave us directions how to disable. Not sure if this started the problem but enabled the battery warning but still unable to sync.
No change
Since it's under warranty and we only have what is posted here to work with try...
1. Uninstall, install the latest iTunes.
2. Call HP and ask for a fix.

I had an IPOD one of the new chromatic nanos working for 2days thenI loaded LIMEWIRE and now only vista recognizes my IPOD as a flash drive. Itunes runs unitl I plug un the IPOD and then ITunes stops running and is shutdown. I have de-installed Itunes no less than 4 times and cleaned all traces of apple from my machine yet the IPOD still will not sync due to Itunes not being able to stay running while the IPOD is pluged in. What am I missing with this other than MS Vista does not handle media players very well. by the way Limewire will not go back on my VISTA machine EVER!!!! IPOD no SYNC..ITunes no SYNC....
All the moderators that I speak with in this forum all see LIMEWIRE as problematic. Once we read LIMEWIRE in a post we know the OS might have taken a big hit and if the usuals don't clear up the issue then we have to reload the OS. Painful lessons all around.
