Phone trouble

by jako06 - 1/16/08 7:54 AM

I wirelessly connect my laptop to my computer downstairs. The connection is fine, but if someone makes a call, picks up the phone, or the message machine plays, the internet temporarily shuts off on my laptop. I have to wait about a minute until the call is ended or the machine stops. How can I fix this and what is wrong?

Thanks

set QOS

if you have QOS settings in your router, set it to prioritize your phone port. VOIP need only about 64 kbps per line, thats what they say.
