So I listened to the first few minutes of the 404, which hijacked the BOL area. When did CNet hire the Chipmunks? I was waiting for them to break out into the Christmas song.
I can't bring myself to listen to any of this week's shows, and I've tried.
I miss my daily BOL fix - please hurry home!
It was a sample rate issue... it is now fixed, but it's still possible that your RSS software downloaded the OLD version. Update the feed with the new version and all should be good.
Believe me, I can't wait to get back to normal as well. Back to normal on Monday.
lol it was cute ![]()
I WANT IT
it would be possable to make LOTS OF GREAT RINGTONES ![]()
You should just take the old version down, which would totally be appropriate given the name and the error you'd get. ![]()
I thought for second there was an error opening this thread!
I liked it granted it did sound a bit off but I bet they sound better when they get into a studio. Just give them a chance in a studio I bet they are better I will listen to this podcast this seams like a good one and a good name for a podcast.
I understand using BOL and the host to pimp other podcasts but I think it is a little cheesy to force them on us. Fortunately I thought 404 was super lame so I won't have to struggle with that whole stick by my principles or get something cool thing (a la Google).
Other than the hosts? Could anyone tell from the descriptions? It sounded like BOL redux to me.
I listened to 404 and was less than impressed. The hosts were not very charismatic and, at the same time, the content seemed to target the 20-something age group. BOL seems to target a much wider audience. The chemistry between the hosts was really not there; although, it may have been the CES atmosphere to blame for that. There was a lot of over-chatter (talking over the top of one another) which made the show unintelligible in places.
The commentary was ok, but not spectacular. Basically, it's not really a show I'd tune into on a daily basis without an additional gimick or draw. It's a bit too much like BOL, except that it seems to be trying to target a younger audience.

And I couldn't find the hook in there. I already get my quirky commentary on tech news. I get it from BOL. That's why I'm subscribed to the BOL RSS feed. What is their purpose? I don't get it.
i think we all agree we were kinda like "ehh", but that doesn't mean other ppl won't. I say "cheers and good luck" to them! ![]()

...and I am not sure yet, but I will probably subscribe and give them a run. I mean it was the first one I have heard, recoreded in a less than normal environment.
