Privateer remake gold
by jerrybeard - 1/10/08 9:38 AMHello, I found on the net the other day (maybe I'm slow and everyone already knew about this) but they have remade privateer (like the wing commander games) as a free game that now plays in windows (there are other versions for other systems too) the link is

that is for the windows version. I didn't know where to go to suggest it to be available for dl thru you guys.

The author/copyright holder of the program would have to create an account on upload.com, be it free or paid, and upload the executable. That requirement is designed to ensure the author/copyright holder's wishes are respected, even regarding freeware, and that he/she is not bothered be requests to submit the software. The exception is if the program is open-source and the licensing agreement permits you to modify and redistribute the software without restriction, at which point you could do so and upload your version.
