Suggestions for home theater
by alafreniere - 12/28/07 9:45 AMHave an older magnavox 42" plasma, its nice its HD but the sound quality is horrible. when playing dvds the music is loud but the dialogue is always low no matter how loud i put the volume up. So, im in the market for home theater/av reciever/speaker combo, 5.1 or 7.1.
thoughts on wireless rear channel speakers etc? thanks in advance and happy holidays.

Might be called DRC, or even "late night" mode, etc. No guarantees, you can fiddle around, it might help. However, I am all for getting a good audio system.

The system will never ever compare to a cherry picked component based system with thousands of dollars invested, of course.
but if I had these two extremely strict limitations, being
-have to have everything right NOW!!
-$700 max budget is absolutely unsurpassable
I'd probably get one too.
