FM tuner with the Sonos ZP80 bundle!

by garryg11 - 12/21/07 1:36 PM

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a simple basic audio system for my new house. I would like to use something wireless, with FM tuner, and able to listen to different music music in different zone. I thought of the Sonos ZP80 bundle, but it does not include an FM tuner.

Here are my questions:
1. Is it possible to add an FM tuner to the Sonos ZP80 bundle?
2. If so which tuner would you recommend?
3. Is it possible to use Sonos ZP80 bundle in a home theatre system?

Happy Holiday to everyone!!

system or maybe Olive. Guess you should Google them.

Congrats for the question poster to be able to go for a Sonos system. You should get much enjoyment from integrating this in your home for much pleasure. The other answerer gave a good response.

OK riv, just teasing you a bit. I get the same reaction when posters start the thread by only using an abbreviation of the model number as if anyone with an y interest would immediately know they are talking about a Sony or Vizio or who knows what. A few of the most frequently discussed here models do get to the point of instant recognition when posted about frequently. But sometimes the shorthand sure gets vague.

the zp80 is there so you can wireless sync it up and steam music and internet radio from your computer (via the internet) to a receiver.........

and most receivers have fm/am tuners.................

so..................................................

another words, your zp80 NEEDS to be plugged into a home theater system (or anything with an amp).

if you're thinking of the zp100 with the built in amp...simply find an old receiver...or a stereo receiver with a FM tuner and plug it into the inputs on the zp100.

riverledge, the sonos system makes home audio effortless. you can create up to 32 different zones, throughout your house without have to run cables to every single one of those zones from a central up. it can get a little price for a regular person..but a system with this kind of automation through a custom dealer will cost significantly more.
