I installed Office 2003 SP3 yesterday and then notice that my Outlook reminders were not working at all. To make sure it was SP3 that caused the problem, I installed it on another workstation and again, my Outlook reminders stopped working on that workstation as well.
I installed SP3 on my Win2k PC and it broke my ability to run Macros. I unistalled Office, re-installed, applied SP2 and my macros worked. Installed SP3 and they wouldn't work again. I received an "Insufficient Memory" error.
Un-installed and reinstalled SP2 and the again were working.
117mb update? Perfect opportunity for something else to get hosed...
After downloading 117Mb,on installation, error shown as follows:-"File not found-a required installation file--SKU012.CAB could not be found."
"InsertCD or browse to the installation source".In Microsoft Help/Support it(SKU012.CAB) refers to Office Standard Edition2003 and asks for inserting the original CD.But the CD purchased was long ago and not traceable. It is unfortunate that Microsoft puts such strings to genuine updations of their software.
Downloading&installation have become a waste of money, time and effort, since with that error the Installer returned without installing and I had to delete the117MB to save space.Hope Microsoft can give some solutions.(Users without CD may face such hurdles )
