Sony DCR-SR62 vs DCR-SR42

by Paulo Almeida Santos - 3/30/07 4:42 AM

Hi guys!
I am planning to buy a HD camcorder from Sony.
Comparing the specs of Sony DCR-SR62 and DCR-SR42, regarding to the video performance, i canīt decide if the price difference justifies buying the more expensive camera.
Can you help me on this?

If you can get better quality...

you should go with it. You don't want to get a camcorder that doesn't satisfy your needs. Spend the extra money and invest into your camcorder. The SR62 will give you the better video.

Get the HR-62

by kiddragonsoft - 4/15/07 5:54 PM In reply to: Sony DCR-SR62 vs DCR-SR42 by Paulo Almeida Santos

The big difference in the 2 cameras is that the HR-62 takes videos in the 16:9 native mode while the HR-42 only has the 4:3 native mode. If you dont plan on using the widescreen feature then get the HR-42 but now a days I dont know too many people with out the widescreen TV
