Communicating over the Internet

by darby1canardly - 12/6/07 2:33 AM

Years ago, when webcams were quite a novelty, I was able to have a voice and video link direct with my nephew in Singapore from UK. The quality was pretty poor as we were both on a dial-up service. Now, having Broadband and a new web cam I would like to try it again. Of course now I can't remember how we managed it, could use Skype of course, but as I'm only interested in a direct link, PC to PC, should be possible? Anyone know of tutorials, software available?
