Desktops: Logitech Controler Programing?

Logitech Controler Programing?

So a while back I picked up a Logitech controller that is designed like a Playstation controller for my PC. My thoughts being that I would plug it in and finally use my PC for some games that I've wanted to play. (I hate using the mouse and keyboard)

The problem is that you of coarse have to program the darn buttons to work on the controller, and frankly I've yet to do this with any success.

Anyone know a program or a way to do this so that it works well? When I use the supplied program and try to map everything out... I get annoyed and give up. UGH (This is why I prefer to play my PS3... but some games just are not available.)
