Does apple offer a good graphics card? I want to use it for games, pictures, and going online because I travel a lot and take picturtes. I mostly want it to play games while i'm on board the airplane flights and edit my pictutres. Does it offer a decent battery life also beause my flights are long and boring?
For some you have to get the Pro to get the 3D chipset. As to battery time, you can find those numbers on the internet so I'll stop there.

I was the tech manager at a large advertising firm for 5 years and only called Apple support twice! Of course I am sure PC switchers probably need a lot of phone support.
If you're going to be doing any 3D gaming on a regular basis, you'll need the MacBook Pro -- the regular MacBook's X3100 graphics won't cut it. On the Pro, the 8600M GT is on the sunny side of mid-range video chipsets. It's not as fast as in a big, bulky desktop replacement, but it's more than good enough. And more importantly, you can still carry the MacBook Pro without developing back problems.
You'll also want the Pro simply for the photo editing advantages: it has a larger, sharper screen, and the matte screen (as opposed to the glossy display on the smaller MacBooks) produces more accurate colors.
Battery life on the latest MacBook Pro is very high for a 15-inch portable. If you're just browsing the web, you can expect about five hours in real-world conditions. Even DVD playback, which can be stressful on the system's battery, should still get you about four hours If even that isn't long enough, you can get an airline adapter from Apple that will plug into most planes' charging ports, and Apple of course sells extra batteries.
It's why I always decline posting a number.
Battery life however is still in the same range of 500 or so charges. And then we get to define "what is a charge?" That issue is the same across all laptop batteries of the same technology.

Serves me right for not looking at the original post date.
That said, if the original poster is still looking to buy or willing to trade up...
