They mentioned not being able to do half ratings in the how today and I remembered that somehow I ended up with a hafl star rating on a track and I have not been able to figure out how I did it or how to do it again. A key command?

I found a blog post detailing the use of an AppleScript to set half-star ratings in iTunes (starting with v6.0.2) by way of a simple keyboard shortcut. Click here: http://andrewescobar.com/archive/2006/02/04/half-star-ratings-in-itunes/
I'm aware of that posting since it turns up when I search for half star rating in itunes. But I don't have the script installed and wasn't aware of the hack until after I had created the half star rating somehow.
In the iTunes Music Library.xml, ratings are stored as a percentage. 1 star is 20, 2 stars is 40, 3 is 60, etc. Maybe you turned one of those ratings into a 70 for 3.5 stars?
I use Synergy with iTunes and I think there must be an option within it for creating the 1/2 star rating
