Just had few email exchanges with Jason, and he told me that this segment will air in about 2 weeks from now... Just for you guys to know.
Thanks!

Man, I wish I could've been around to throw my name in. But you know, I suggested this way earlier in the year when Tom was going to be alone for like, a week straight, and everyone thought it was a bad idea!
Glad the opinion turned around. I can't wait until the next one, when maybe I'll be able to put my name in that day. ![]()
I talked to TMJ yesterday. It was a blast. It is funny because you know, I hear their voices all of the time so it was I was just talking on the phone with people I knew. That was really cool, and they were super nice. Almost Canadian nice...
Dave (you know the rest)
Hey Dave, it's me, Alex from Miami Beach (haha)
Same happened to me.. that feeling was funny. But at the beginning I taught I was talking to them just like to introduce ourselves then they would say, NOW we are recording.. so I could not have sounded more natural, like talking with friends...
Alex
They talked to you just before me. At first I was not sure if we were on or not, but that left my head shortly. I interview people all of the time on one of my podcasts (www.thunderbirdsix.org) but umm, they are way better than me... In fact, when I have me and another guy interviewing someone at the same time it is not as easy. They are so smooth together it is really something. I guess when you do something 600 odd times you get sort of comfortable with each other....
I swear this is not sucking up.
I felt really comfortable...even though my heart was racin' a bit through the whole thing (much less at the end, though). I haven't interviewed or been interviewed in a while, but it was kinda like talkin' to some clever pals, so it's easy to roll with it.
...This morning I thought to myself - wait, can I get a do-over I really have a better response...really, I do!
I guess it's often like that if you're not doing this day-in-day-out.
Best,
Shalin
I used to host a technology show back in the mid 90's, it was a live daily nationally 30 minute show in Chile. I did that for 2 years (http://www.misterchips.org).. I also have some radio experience at that time, but anyway, as you say, it is kind of hard being at the telephone and doing this live. It feels weird, but you know what... the important part is that it was fun, and it is great to have that direct feedback and contact with the BOL team.. this is what it's all about... it is an original and new approach in podcasting...
soooo green w/ envy!
I only wish we could have got to more people. It really was weirdly like talking to people we've known for awhile, even though we'd never really spoken before.
I guess we can unstick this thread now though.
We will definitely do this again!
NEXT TIME
i will try to put my hat in the ring.. i wonder what you all talked about ![]()
That's right folks. My mom, who hasn't even heard of the show, and who only knows how to turn on the computer and click on Firefox to go on the internet, got on the show.
Change "Lisa J's voicemail" to "Lisa J's mom's voicemail", lol.
to be honest, it woulda been nice to hear a female and a podcaster at that - don't give up! ![]()
Well, I'll try my best, even though there are 3439042 more folks here more on top of the tech news than I, lol!
(And how'd ya know I'm a podcaster?)
Jason gave your "No Pink Spandex" podcast a plug. ![]()
Have fun,
Shalin
Pure. Awesomness. Wasn't expecting that at all.
And this, among other things, is why I'm a Howeller. All the way!
Thanks BOL! These listener eps have really been cool, and to hear you guys be "fan-struck" is sooo cute! (In a really manly way for Jason and Tom.)
