Installshield Wizard Won't Uninstall Program marked

by galwaylassie - 3/6/05 4:22 PM

My husband and I have tried to uninstall his Medal of Honor game using the control panel program change/remove with no success. Everytime we click on the icon change/remove it acts as if it's going to remove it but then it doesn't. This game has used 2,000 kb space on our computer and we are trying to free this space. Somehow the game has the icon for Wildtangent Games in the front of it and it is not part of that system. We have already removed the Wildtangent program and other Medal of Honor games successfully however, this one Medal of Honor game seems unable to be removed regardless of all our efforts. Can anyone please help us? We've done everything we know to do with no success.

Thank you for your help.

Brute Force. Go Start > Run type regedit press enter do a search for wildtangent games and manually delete each entry. I may sometimes seem like a software salesperson but, let me asure you I am not. I am a retired Systems Engineer with a bit to much time on his hands, time which I use to find more efficient (in my estimation) applications than those built in to Windows. The best uninstaller I have found is Advanced Uninstaller 2005. It has a forced removal routine that is a joy to behold. Drag the icon onto the icon and hey presto it is gone. You might like to try it.

Vista

Hi,

I have been experiencing the same issue with uninstallation, however, I am working with a Vista machine. Do you know if AU 2005 will work on Vista? I lost my internet connectivity last night and I am trying to fix that as well. Not sure if somehow the two are related. I've run it through NOD32 and McAfee and it appears to be clean. I'm trying to uninstall some Autofx software that is just not cooperating. Thanks
