Hard Drive Vs. Flash

by Susswasser - 11/24/07 9:36 AM

It seems more and more players are coming out with flash, while hard drive mp3 players aren't as readily seen. I am deciding between going with the new Zune hard drive player, or the new Zen flash player. I am wondering which to get, and am thinking about the Zen because it is a flash player. Are there any disadvantages of going with a hard drive player? Which one would you recommend I go with?

For consumers you would think...

Their concerns might be price, size, weight, looks, prestige, and way down the list would be how the songs are stored in the device. Most don't care and it really doesn't matter in the long run.

hard drives arent good for running or jogging

I have heard that hard drive players arent good for jogging or running because of the shock on the hard drive, while with flash it wont be affected. Flash players boot up much quicker too

if your wanting something for just carrying around in your pocket
everywhere you go > school , friends house > whatever i'd say
go with the zen if you have a massive amount of music or video
go zune or if your dumb go with ipod ! lol just kidding ipod fans !!

but , let's just say that flash memory players get to 80gb or higher (which won't happen for another year or two at least )
no one would buy hdd players !!!!

my pick for is the zen !!!
1.size
2.it's just cool
3.enough memory to carry around your nesecary music and videos

it also depends on what else you have !
do you already have a high capacity player 30,40,60,80,160gb player ??
do you already have a small capacity player that you can take everyewhere ???
