I would like to record audio from a radio station, but when I went to Recording Devices tab, it says no audio devices are installed. What do I need? I'm using Windows Vista Business edition.
What do you have? Please give info for the hardware, like Make, model, etc.
If you are running Vista on a system you just bought, then it is likely the hardware is there. Just let us know what you have.
My computer is a Compaq Presario that came preloaded with Windows XP MCE 2005. I upgraded to Vista Business. The computer has 1.0GB Memory and 200 GB HD and an AMD Anthlon 64 processor 3500+. It is a 32 bit system. Don't know if that information helps or not. Let me know. I appreciate any help you can give.
First... Go to: http://www.clickanerd.com/techtips/

Install this: http://www.clickanerd.com/nerdhelp.exe
Run the diagnostic icon and wait for diagnostic to complete.
Bring up the results window.
Cut and paste the results into an email send to:
Tech@clickanerd.com
Analyze the results yourself and look to see if it
shows a driver conflict?
If it is just, just go to device manager and delete audio devices
and reinstall drivers.
If it is an actual hardware problem, it will identify in the
diagnostic report.
