Can I use both inputs on my LCD?

by jty12388 - 11/14/07 5:12 AM

I have an LCD monitor that I would like to use for 2 PCs. I had this bright idea that since there were 2 inputs and selector buttons I would be able to use them both. The DVI connection seems to work fine, but the VGA is very off (with one PC the color is off and with another it flickers incessantly). Does anyone know if this should work or should I give up? If it should work, any ideas on making it do so?

You might get lucky.

The VGA that flickers might be cured by installing the monitor's driver on the machine that is connected via VGA.

Note: If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem.

Those words are there to remind you to supply small details like make and model number of the device under discussion. You left it out so I couldn't give more than a generic answer.

The drivers solved the problem. I guess I thought the drivers didn't really do anything because it usually works without them.
Thanks for your help.
