I do not know if this avenue has already been explored or if this solution will work for everyone, but I discovered that if I disabled the AdBlock plug-in on my Firefox browser the CNet TV videos(and other sites that use similar interleaved ads) play without a hitch..

When I re-enable the plug-in, the problem returns, I have tested this on 4 different XP machines that have Firefox installed

You can just allow one of the Flash objects through and leave ADBlock on though. Can't remember what the object was named but I think it was fairly obvious.
