CRTC considers fees for conventional TV

Why should cable customer have to pay for broadcast tv's stuff?
Now if that broadcast TV is carried over cable then i can see the charge but if its not.. NO WAY

I feel that a SECOND tax like in the UK is wrong.. if you have a TV then advertising pays for the service... if you choose to get a service thats more the broadcast then you pay the extra

If so, maybe CRTC could just put coin meters/card swipe readers on all new digital sets. Pay as you go TV? Done. Maybe municipal parking meter folks could be in charge of going door-to-door to empty the coinboxes.
