I need to have my firewall start before my broadband connection. It used to start second after my UPS software, but something has changed since I found a remote administrator program on my computer. Is there a way to prioritize the start up programs? Or, is there some software that will take care of this functionality (free or open source?). I don't mind changing the registry (instructions). Any help you can give me is appreciated.
Thanks,
Bob
Moving up the priority of the item you want in task manager. This will make it respond a little quicker and might solve your problem.

It already does!!! What some get confused over is the GUI part of the firewall does start later but the firewall itself started much sooner. Don't worry, many didn't know this.
