sidekick lx vs. t-mobile wing

by Cat-han - 10/26/07 9:18 PM

Hi, I'm currently a student and I was wondering which phone I should get. I've heard good things about both. One is fun (sidekick), the other is more efficient (wing). I'm also open to other phone ideas. Maybe something fun that has Windows Mobile 6.

I'm having this same dilemma lol. Go for the cool looking easy messenger, or the touch screen, better camera, and better video + mp3

Go for the Sidekick

Due to the dataplan pricing I would choose the Sidekick unless you have a specific need for the video cam functionality of the T-Mobile Wing. I was looking between a Sidekick and a Blackberry Pearl and I chose the Sidekick based on "Data Plan pricing" 19.99 Including unlimited messaging on Sidekick vs 29.99 or 34.99 for blackberry with Unlimited messaging. I am not sure of data plan pricing for the T-mobile wing so check it out before making your decision. If on the other hand you just want the phone and PDA functionality and don't care about connectivity I'd go with the wing.

Pricing

Actually, with my sidekick i would have 1000 anytime min and the data plan for about $60-65. With the wing i would have 1000 min and unlimited text + unlimited internet and unlimited wifi in hotspots or wireless areas for about $70-80. It's only about $10-14 more a month. And if you're looking at the dash you might as well go for the wing in my opinion. Seeing as I have a wireless router in my house and somewhere at my school, I would rather have the wing for wifi connectivity. And the call quality/camera/music/EDGE/touchscreen/video/windows media player is much better. Trust me, I'm quite obsessed with this phone at moment, I've been reading every single piece of info I can find plus videos. O and there's always that program you can download that makes your UI indentical to the iPhone too.
