Email by ISP was Given without Warrant

by marvin25 - 10/22/07 6:28 PM

I remember that everyone net never kept emails that were deleted and changed there policy to keep emails for 48 hours after they were deleted. The only reason for this was that the Federal Government wanted to have access to them. This costs them a lot of money as they had to keep for the extra equipment and they believe that the customers requested just in case the accidentally deleted a message or an account. How many companies want this function and the cost of 100 for getting back the emails in question. The only reason was the Federal Government was pushing to keep everything for 48 hours. Look at all the equipment they had to buy in order to keep the emails on line. This is two days worth of emails that were deleted but must be maintained. This is why they want immunity so they don't have to answer their customers that they gave their emails to the Federal Government without a warrant. With this under law they don't have answer anyone about the practice. I have feeling it was dragnet being done.
