Wide angle lens?

But for the usual family size of 4-5, you don't need a wide angle. Just step back and they should fit nicely. Actually for close up portraits it is better to use a mid tele lens (with 35 mm equivalent 80-110mm focal length). Wide angle lens can give you perspective distortion, and usually not used for portraits.
