Can anybody tell me why it is that all the Real Deal podcast files list Edgar Winter as the "Album Artist" in the meta info?
The composer is Edgar Winter/Jeff Baxter too. I'm thinking that either:
a) This is an inside joke; it's doubtlessly hilarious; and it makes the REAL DEAL THAT much cooler than, say, cranky geeks.
- or -
b) This is an old glitch in the packaging process that nobody ever noticed before, mentioned before, or cared enough to correct.
- or -
c) It's something screwy in my installation of iTunes that defaults to albino blues legend data when a meta field is found empty.
The presence of Edgar DOES cause my Media Player Library to regularly categorize the REAL DEAL under the EDGAR WINTER artist label, but oddly, only for odd numbered shows of late... 61, 63 and 65. I WOULD like to clear up the mystery one way or the other so my REAL DEAL files will arrive under "Tom Merritt" as God intended.
Thanks for any insights -
Love the podcast -
Keep up the good work -
Has anyone ever seen Tom & Edgar TOGETHER?
...or for that matter Rafe & Rick Derringer?
just asking
Please tell us why Edgar Winter is the artist in the id3 tag of the podcast. Is it because Winter had an album called the real deal??
PLEASE tell us!![]()
Fred
I thought I was the only person that had this problem. WMP11 keeps wanting to put this under "Edgar Winter" which screws everything up. It is a real pain to have to go in and change the tags to get it where it belongs every, single time.
