And if you still need more firewall security, just add a router to your system or even to a single PC, with its own Single/Double Firewalls......so if you do regulary Home banking or shopping, this is a good add to your security.
Hi there .You have found it .No need to go any further than comodo. It has everything you need.Firewall ,Anti Virus, Anti Spam and Verification. I found it a few months ago and really pleased with it and that is all on a free version.I recommend it highly.Needs a little work to complete the data to it as an ongoing thing when the system does not recognise new areas that one may venture in to.Cheers Charlie No 1.

Freeware tool Hitman Pro combines the best of both worlds to fight spyware.
Hitman Pro is a freeware tool that combines a number of powerful anti-spyware programs in one integrated solution. In nearly all anti-spyware reviews, the conclusion is that none of the anti-spyware programs removes all spyware. A combination of two programs is recommended.
This is exactly what Hitman Pro does: it combines Ad-Aware SE, SpyBot Search & Destroy, Spyware Blaster, Spy Sweeper, Spyware Doctor, CWShredder, NOD32, Sysclean package. Most of the included programs are freeware. Some of these programs are limited trial editions of commercial programs, and the user can decide to switch these off after the trial period.
In case the user has purchased that program, Hitman Pro will support the full version.
1 click to update and run several anti-spyware apps.
In the settings, You can uncheck the ones you do not want and hitman pro will ignore them.
thanks Shimshai.I was only pointing out that There was a whole package within comodo.Like you I run others but as i am no authority on the subject ,I left the rest alone .I also run Ad-aware ,Spybot & Cc cleaner.
I hope I don't offend anyone by saying this, but I gather from the very nature of your question that Comodo firewall is not for you. If you don't know what security software you should be using besides Comodo, you shouldn't use Comodo at all. Reason being, when malware enters your system in a drive-by download, Comodo's IDS can only block it if you correctly interpret the alert.
As it were, only experienced users can be expected to get it right every time. Same has been the case with ZoneAlarm since its inception (Melissa virus, anyone?). Neither of these are suitable for novice users. In addition, Comodo slows down Web surfing more than I for one would be willing to put up with.
If you want separate components, I recommend you start with Sunbelt (formerly Kerio) Personal Firewall. This firewall (including the free version) has Network-based Intrusion Prevention, and can block known threats without asking you. The free version doesn't have script blocking, so you might do with something like AnalogX ScriptDefender. Since you say you have a slow, old PC, you might complete your security apparatus with CyberDefender, which is antivirus and antispyware combined. You don't read a lot about it in reviews, at least not yet, but the Early Detection Center ensures nothing is missed that gets on your machine. If anything makes its way past Sunbelt and ScriptDefender, it will be rooted out before long.
Another possibility is McAfee SecurityCenter special edition from AOL. It's the only free, all-in-one suite in existence. It's reasonably light on resources, and also includes script blocking. If you have the time to tinker with the controls, it also offers a firewall stealth mode that you ought to enable. It has a wealth of other tools, though you may or may not ever get around to trying them out. What I will say is SecurityCenter's ability to defend its host against a hostile website is impressive: http://safety.aol.com/isc/index.adp?
If you would like to make your system invulnerable to attack, you might want to have a look at this: http://invincible-windows.blogspot.com/
Hope this helps!
