A new way to tell the record companies that DRM CAN SUCK IT?

by the_deanster - 9/20/07 2:54 PM

seems like a good way to make sure that musicians get a fair shake while record co's figure out how to make money without DRM. kinda looks like they're seeing if people want to treat music like software. like if you download and get value from it, you pay the band for it. simple huh?

Is one supposed to know the band actually gets money, that is to say. How do I know that's a site that's not run by a smart con artist, ;)

Self-policing, and paypal . . .

they're relying on self-policing from the bands, and community. I'm sure that if a band saw that the account was going to the wrong place, then they'd let the site know. (rollover the copyright on the "donate" tab and it explains)

It's ultimately a PayPal account dump. the site simply collects and links to a donation button, under a band's paypal acct.
