.Mac in the UK

by mtaddy - 9/12/07 11:27 AM

I am a .Mac Subscriber. Use it mainly because I backup alot of data and share files. the iDisk intergrates with my Macs with no problem, so this seemed ideal for me.

It is slower here!!! i have asked apple about it twice. never got a response. One of them emailed me telling me the time of day was wrong, and it was because all the people the US were using it due to the time differences. This was way before the 10GB upgrade to the idisk. The Web sites published through iweb is also painfully slow!

Does anyone know if Apple are actually capping it, or if its something else!

Cheers

I'm in Costa Rica and it works just fine here, no problems with speed or anything.

Others have reported the exact same issue, with transfers throttled down to 80KB/second.
