Molly, love her hate her, she sure is entertaining!

I think that you really summed up the sentiment well. I think that even Tom got a little uncomfortable during this particular rant. It is all well and good to take potshots at the market leader, but just because the new range of iPod's does not satisfy your idea of the perfect music player, that does not mean that you can let logic fly out the window. I am really wondering what would make Molly happy with an apple product.

The worst thing is, other than Molly's hypocrisy (complaining that all Apple fan boys are sheep for paying sooooo much for an iPhone and then commiserating when the price comes down), is that there are some strong areas of agreement. Yes the new nano is fugly, but it will sell as it fits that market. The Classic gives no real reason for iPod 5g owners to upgrade. But the touch is the future and it still has more capacity then the first iPods which were only 5 and 10 gigs.

So calm down every one this is just a bit of technology not world peace.

The shuffle should not have a screen???

by ulric2 - 9/8/07 10:40 AM In reply to: Yesterday was horrible by mc4_a

Not having a screen on the shuffle is far from being a feature!
I have one on my cheap Sansung and there is no reason to fear it being scratched at the gym! The shuffle is cripped completely arbitrarily.

I have a Nano as well. The new Nano is ugly and doesn't fit the human for as well as the previous elongated one. Again, for the gym, why would I need a horizontal video screen? I don't.

Veronica has her own problems....

by SwampYankee01 - 9/7/07 11:37 AM In reply to: (NT)Wonder what Veronica thinks about all this... by LifeStar

She works for the one person in the tech world more reviled than the iPod fanboys. And Jason CaliCopyUs's last venture (Netscapes Digg clone) shut down this week. Hey Veronica, your welcome back any time.

Veronica's gig shutdown??

by PortVista - 9/8/07 12:40 AM In reply to: Veronica has her own problems.... by SwampYankee01

Veronica's gig shutdown? They didn't even launch it yet lol! It seems like theres some venture capital out there still to be had to start your own .COM deadend company?? I think I should apply for some grants and take a vacation from working *IN* the IT industry and just start netcasting about it -- you know, read stories, make stupid comments about things I don't understand and complain. And then spend the next netcast defending my stance on what I was complaining about the day before.

Jason Calacanis (getting off topic)

by PortVista - 9/8/07 10:50 AM In reply to: no by irafreight

Isn't Mahalo Jason Calacanis's company that got funding for 5 years to pay 40 people $8/hr to sit in his house to index the internet BY HAND? And now he's trying to con people to sign-up and help him do it for free? I hope Veronica is getting paid lol!
