is the archos 605 all it is cracked up to be?
by arock0930 - 8/29/07 2:14 PMi have been waiting so long for this divice to come out, but i have seen some reviews, and one said it had a grainy screen, and it was not brigh? is it worth buying if the screen is crap?

Highest quality detail and the screen is not refletive nor does it get finger prints like other players, especially touch screens. For example you can read websites without making adjustments and plays back movies in DVD quality. Plus the screen is adjustable, but it is not as bright as other players.

by JonTitor - 9/4/07 1:05 PM In reply to: is the archos 605 all it is cracked up to be? by arock0930The one thing that's argueable is the brightness, because Touchscreens have an extra layer to them they aren't usually as bright (just compare smartphones to pocketPC phone screens) But everything else is top notch. an 800x480 resolution is the highest I've seen in a PVP and matches the resolution of most UMPCs so you can tell it'll be good for web surfing. Plus the screen is capable of 16 Million colors, one of the few, Creative Zens usually have 262 Thousand, and the Zune and iPod both sport 64 Thousand.
