fax page margins

by cowpuncher007 - 6/8/07 6:15 AM In reply to: BVRP Fax tools by SDD27

Just got my new system with Vista business. My only fax problem is that the same excel page (purchase order) that I always faxed in XP now says "margins don't fit page size". Page settup is 1x1, print area fixed, etc. The % sizes offered are limited to 100, 50, whatever. Anybody else run into this?

windows vista home premium

by ronspruell - 8/29/07 4:30 PM In reply to: fax software compatible with Vista Home Premium? by linhelen

When I bought this new system I didn't know what came with home premium but I don't know of many folks that have home systems that don't at some time need to fax something. I had Win Fax Pro but it won't work with Vista or at least when I tried to install it that's what it said.
Now I can't seem to find a fax program. I wonder if I could buy the one that comes with Vista business form Microsoft? I sure need one.

Try "Snappy Fax" version 4 or "Fax Talk" (Fax Center Pro 7.7)

RKS

I tried this software after reading about it in an online forum. You get a free trial, which I used.
This is a great piece of software. It works better than any other software I've use since back in the 486 days. I've never had it bomb out. It takes a little longer than some others but I know it's going to work.
Best of all, it's only $19.95.

Heres the URL - www.rkssoftware.com/

I had an issue with it when I installed it but followed the update link and away it went.

RKS works well

by Fruncle - 5/23/08 7:32 AM In reply to: RKS by maplelake01

I'm using RKS Fax with Windows Vista Home Premium.

The outgoing fax function works perfectly, and easily.

There are two functions in Receive Mode.

The "enter receive mode - answer all incoming calls" works perfectly.

The "Receive fax NOW (incoming fax, call currently in progress)" mode *appears* to work, but the fax is compressed into one unintelligible line. Tech support was not able to resolve this issue.

However, I am well pleased with my $19.95 investment. I can live without the convenience of "Receive fax Now" if I have to, because I finally have a Vista compatible fax program.

Data Fax program

by Eggman - 5/23/08 10:39 AM In reply to: RKS works well by Fruncle

These post have been around for a long time now. Doesen't seem as if anone has truly found a solution for a true Data fax Voice program that will work with Vista. I purchased BVRP's Classic Phone Tools 6 & it does work but wont answer incomming calls. BVRP has a Tech support help service but they refuse to answer my request for help I posted back on May2nd. so I cant reccomend them as their service well I wont swear here but it S****!

Data Fax Programm

by nolcanot - 7/16/08 2:43 AM In reply to: Data Fax program by Eggman

Hello,
I 've had the same problem and I found on this link (http://www.usr.com/bvrp/bvrp.asp?loc=frnc), the V9.03 of classic phone tools which seems to be free (I didn't have to pay anything) and works on my computer with Vista Premium.

I can send/receive fax, it has the functionality of answering machine, you can give phone calls....

I've tried the frnch version and works perfectly.

Hope could hep

RKS Fax

by groucho7 - 5/24/08 2:14 AM In reply to: RKS works well by Fruncle

To me, the RKS Fax "Receive Fax Now" issue mentioned above is a very major bug and I would not be willing to use any software with such a flaw. Fax Center Pro 7.0 (formerly Fax Talk) does not let you choose your fax data store folder. They have written me: "The software stores the data is a set specific location. You cannot change this location to another driver [sic: they meant drive] or folder." Snappy Fax say they let you choose your data store folder but I am not sure that this is so. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks.

Try the VentaFax (www.ventafax.com). It will allow you to change your default incoming folder.
