need help identifying a program
by cutlass_1972 - 8/23/07 7:53 AMI am a newby it guy, and would like to know if anyone can advises me on what program another it guy at my company is using to access others pc's. He is able to take control of users pc's across our network without alerting the user. He thinks it is funny and will not tell me what he is using. I cant really blame him and would probably do the same myself, but it is driving me nuts. lol... can someone point me in the right direction?

We are reluctant to get involved in inter-office problems like this and so I am not sure how much can be said.
However, I would ask why is this IT person doing this. If he is remotely controlling networked PC's officially, eg to run scans, or install updates, or other housekeeping procedures, then I assume that is his job and he has the right to do so.
But if he is just making a nuisance of himself, or if he is taking over these PC's at awkward times when the user needs to use the PC, then perhaps a word in his ear, explaining the problems he is causing, needs to be considered. The final sanction, of course, is an official complaint through channels, ie through your senior officer to his senior officer.
