BluRay and PS3
by rtl2 - 8/20/07 9:41 PMMaybe a stupid question....probably is...but if I already have a PS3, is there any reason for me to think about getting a stand-alone BR player? I am assembling a new home theater, and wondering if thats something to save money on. Thanks.

If you have a stand alone BP, the remote will have more features than if you used the ps3. If you were building "the ultimate home theater" the BP's have individual audio outputs, so you can run each channel separately (VERY usefull if you run amps instead of receivers).

PS3 is a great BD player

Due to the PS3 being fully upgradeable and having built-in HDMI 1.3 it supports all of the latest and greatest of BD. Also, once paired with a NYKO Blu Wave IR remote control it is able to work with any programmable home theater remote control.
