As I unloaded about 65 photos from my camera I neglected to state a folder and they went on the desktop. I can't get them off as every time I try to delete one it makes a duplicate I now have about 45 duplicates of the 65 photos. I used the control key to delete as many as possible.
That's when I discovered the duplicates. I Then made folders and tried drag and drop to get so I could control them . Didn't work very well as it seems to be duplicating yet.I have a fairly new Acer with tons of memory and 350 HD on xp.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
This should really be a simple fix. Try opening My Documents and keep pressing the "Up" button on the window until you reach the desktop. Now, you'll be looking at your desktop as a normal folder. Just change the view to "Details" Mode, and sort the files by type. This way, all of the photos will be singled out, then click the first photograph, hold the Shift key, and select the last photo, then press the delete button. My guess is you selected all of the images and held the control key, and dropped them again on the desktop. That creates duplicates if I remember correctly. Hope I was of help. =)
Thanks very much it sure looks better now after I followed your tip.
