When you travel to report on something and you take a car, do you get a CNET car, or do they pay you for the gas? How do you normally get to a reporting event?
Teleporting of course, Cnet has a Teleport central in the lobby! :P for non-cnet workers they look like Elevators
Our own cars mostly. I don't think we get mileage. But I should check. There is a CNET Van if a whole crew is going from here in SF.
Tom just doesn't care to find out because he has a hybrid. ![]()
Let's face it, I don't like to go outside. It's frightening out there.
...it's way too scary.

People get *killed* outside! Nevermind interaction with people...
Besides, Tom, couldn't you just find a stream or live blog and pretend you were there? There were all kinds of tube-clogging coverage of that Apple event. Molly could've taped herself pretending to be standing next to a new iMac, and just have inserted a picture of one in the background.
Ah, the future of news coverage.
