Hey all,
I am in the market and have about 2 grand to spend. The tv's primary use will be HD gaming. I'd prefer 1080p obviously for my 360 elite. I can't really decide between plasma or LCD. The room the tv is in has a nasty light problem, but I don't necessarily need any anti-glare features, (although I prefer to avoid flat out mirrors) So there you have it folks, thanks for your time.
I have both a 47" LCD and a 50" plasma. Overall, the plasma has a more realistic looking picture, but the LCD is a whole lot better in the bright, reflective room that it is in.
In your price range, you will get more plasma for your money. Vizio is about to introduce a new 52" 1080p LCD right at your budget price. If you belong to Costco, they have a $200 off coupon for it later this month. For plasma, you should be able to pick up a Panasonic 50" in your price range.
Awesome I'll take a look at those. I was also considering the LN-T4665F and the TH-50PZ700U. If anyone has either of those let me know what you think!
Thanks again.
