How do I watch my movies stored on external drive thru Front

by enoch861 - 8/3/07 11:07 AM

I have an several movis, tv shows stored on an external drive which I would love to access via Front Row. I have no idea how to do this? Is it possible to link front row to the folder containing the media on the external drive?

I am new to Mac and I would greatly appreciate any help.

Thanks

Henry

Just make an alias

Make an alias for your external drive. (In Finder click on your external drive, then choose File/Make alias.)

Drag the alias to your Movies folder on your Mac.

Front Row will see the external drive as part of the list of movies and when you choose it, it will give you a submenu of the movies on the external drive.

At least, that's what worked for me.

Thanks.

Being a pauper, I don't have Front Row on my machine so I couldn't suggest an answer.

You're answer is so simple it qualifies for a "Duh!, why didn't I think of that" :-)
