Setting up an Access Point - Any How Too's??

by MrRugger - 8/2/07 1:24 PM

Hi, I want to set up an Access Point and need some how too's. Here is my set up. Room #1 upstairs I have a cable modem plugged into my wireless g linksys (WRT54G)router. The setup works great and I can access wirelessly throughout the house. However, I now want to upgrade to the DraftN WRT150N router (btw - I noticed that Linksys just had a DraftN certification today on the Crave website http://crave.cnet.com/8301-1_105-9737848-1.html?tag=prmo1). I want to now take my old G Router and set it up in Room #2 (basement). I will wire a Slingbox and possibly a second PC to the WRT54G set up as a Access Point and want to broadcast the Slingbox or PC over the Access Point to the Main Router set up in Room #1 in order to access the internet and make them public. So the WRt150N will be the main router with internet access and the WRT54G will act as a Access Point. Any how to's out there on doing this? I assume it is possible. Any Suggestions? Thanks
