Thats pretty much all of the major things. Its been a great laptop so far, and it should be even better with the free upgrade to Windows 7. I even got Batman: Arkum Asylum to play on Max settings quite smoothly.

Slot loading CD/DVD drive
I own a Dell xps M140 which cost $1375 16 months ago; just bought my daughter a Dell XPS M1210 which was $1425...I am thrilled with both of them and will only step away from Dell if I decide to go the big bucks with Apple...
Our school paid $1000 and I paid the other $1000 for a Dell Latitude D800 2 years ago.
It was a deal for teachers. We converted all our classrooms to "smart" classrooms w/projectors and big screens. If a teacher wants to use a laptop, it makes powerpoint, etc. much easier.
I don't own no stinkin' laptop. Why? Because my desktop is where I compute, and when I travel I only carry a 5 iron.
I bought a Toshiba Sattelite back in 1998 and it cost me about $1799, but I won't complain because it just died (the hard drive) in 2007...so after 9 years of constant and heavy usage it served me well. Just wish I had more warning to know the hard drive was going to die out....could have saved my photos and other items on an external or discs. Oh well! Nothing I couldn't recoup though. I wish I could find another one that was still going. Those laptops even survived drops to concrete floors with nothing more than a scuff or two to the case. Although it did weight quite a bit compared to today's laptops.
I love it!
This is a widescreen, dual-core 2gHz with 1 gB memory and 160 GB storage, Nvidia gForce 7600. With a Wacom Intuos3 graphics tablet, a fine portable computer graphics machine.
Downside is weight - over 7 lbs, and about 10 with tablet and case.
Dual core AMD, 15 inch screen. Has XP but I got free Vista to install. Haven't done that yet. I love this laptop. Bought it in December. No negatives to report.
At Best Buy, I bought this laptop for my college bound son. After adding another 1G memory, it is very fast with excellent graphics. Good enough to run WarCraft with no lag.
MacBook Pro
2.4 GHz
4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
800 MHz Bus Speed
GeForce 8600M GT Graphics - 256 MB
120 GB Seagate 7200 rpm HD (upgrade)
This is really a mobile workstation.
I paid $814 for my Dell last summer. That included a Microsoft Office package purchased from a seperate vendor. I've had no problems with my unit.
I just ordered it and I am really excited about its arrival. I bought it through aafes.com for $1555.00. It would have cost close to $1900.00 thru the Dell site so I really saved some money and didnt have to pay sales tax! I had a hard time making a decision between the 1520 and the 1720 but eventually went with the 1720 because it is a desktop replacement and although I will move it around but not as much as some may carry their laptop.
Dell Inspiron 1420 w/Blu-Ray capability, Mcrosoft Vista and Office 2007. Most of the cost was service related that one doesn't have much choic but to accept or not get the item. Over $3.000 with S&H and services. Just got it yesterday and will plug it in today.
Am working on getting a desktop Blu-Ray capable. Am right at the PSU limit for the ATI Radeon HD2900XT. Am trying to decide if obtaining a greater wattage PSU is worth the effort.

I got my laptop as a referb from HP 4 years ago I paid around 600$ for it. It's served me well but it's time for replacement and is slower than January mud!
