Video display problems; looks like a brown film is covering

E660 Intel 2.4 GHz
2 GB RAM
320 GB x2 on RAID-1
NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS 512MB PCI Express x16

I first noticed the problem when watching one of my videos on Revver.com, using the Quicktime mode. I have introduction text at the beginning of the video, which is white in color. In flash mode, the video appears white as intended; however, when I took a look in Quicktime mode, the text appeared brown in color. I then looked at the original videos and the problem was still there, in several different video players, including GOM, WMP 11, and Quicktime. I then looked at the original mpegs and while there is no text on these videos, the overall quality looked terrible.

Is there some sort of system wide setting that would alter the appearance of video throughout several different players? Also, the whites and such appear perfectly on all other sections of my monitor, so I do not think it is the video card causing the problem.

Any help would be deeply appreciated,

Anyone have any suggestions on this? I had the computer turned off for a few days, and when I turned it back on, a few videos worked fine. However, when I went back to the video(s) that I first saw the problem, the brown film came back.

Swap and experiment.

1. Same movies on another PC.
2. Same movies on different monitor on this PC.
That's the easy part. Swapping a video card for experiment only is the difficult part. But there's a fair chance it isn't necessary after these two experiments.
