after warranty, law should require any potential customer be provided with this info before forming the contract. They should have to sign off on these disclosures.
The warranty snafu is one readon why some TVs cost more...they provide service and parts for years after the standard warranty expires. I thought at Best Buy and Circuit City you could buy and extended warranty that states that if the TV can't be repaired, you will be given another TV. I guess this is why their extended warranties cost so much.
