I use the Movavi Video Suite as a <a href="http://videoconverterreviews.com/category/zune-video-converter/">Zune Video Converter</a>. It works best for me and the support is terrific!

.MP4/.MPEG-4/.WMV is the Zune supported video format.

Generally, the videos u download from net are in .FLV format, so if you wanna play these net-videos on ur Zune, you have to convert these vids to Zune-friendly format first... There are many online app can do this and they are total free like:

If you need high output quality and wanna edit the video clips like cropping/trimming/merging etc. you could try this video file converter
