This just began a couple of days ago. I'm looking for the type of file CNET's using for Quicktime movies on the webpages. I get only a black square with a dark blue Q (for Quicktime) and a big fat white question mark inside. It used to work just fine. What is the type of file so that I can make sure Firefox will use Quicktime to open it. This also occurs on other website movies. Very frustrating. Or is there another problem?
Mac OS 10.4.10, Firefox 2.0.0.5, Quicktime 7.2.
Thanks!

Flash based and not QuickTime based.
Try updating your Flash Player and see if that improves things

I am also having this problem with Firefox and the Quicktime video clips. This all started about 15 days ago for me when I downloaded the new Quicktime update. If I go to a site like Youtube all I see is the Quicktime question mark. So since then I have been using the Safari browser.
I want to fix this so I can go back to using Firefox.
Thanks
Yes, the new Flash download did the trick. Thanks a bunch!
