There are too many threads going on right now to answer them all, but I wanted to let you know how much this all means to me.
You guys are awesome, and this is (hands down) the best audience in podcasting. You've taught me so much, and as weird as it sounds, I feel like I've gotten to know a lot of you (like, I can't think about space now without thinking of Shalin)!
I hope you'll stay in touch, and check out the new project as well. And heck, I'll be back on BOL before you know it. In fact, you'll probably be all "God, would she just GO already?"
OK, sappy time over. Thanks everyone, see you on the tubes!
V
Thanks for the great times on Buzz Out Loud, you've been a great contributor to BOL for all these years. We'll miss you! May we meet again sometime across the intertubes. ![]()

Sorry, couldn't resist V!
It's not weird! I've called in just a couple times, but feel like I know you well too. I speak for all of us when I say I'm going to miss you terribly; but thanks for the time you've given us already.
Have a great time @ Mahalo, I'll be checkin' in on your new vidcast.
Alex
PS- I need another picture of you for Wikipedia! Some Wikinazi deleted the image before for some stupid reason; but your article deserves some beauty ![]()
Had just finished listening #521, was recalling all those moments. Not only for you, for me and the entire....BOL audience. I think I can remember the time you talked about rootkits, where I was. The time you talk about Vista being the new Windows name, etc etc. I took a different bus, to a different job, dressed different, used a different Mp3 player but you remained a constant.
Being a regular on Cnet since forever, I started listening just as I got my first MP3 player in May 2005. Don't remember exactly the first episode, but yes that it was bi-weekly and less than ten minutes long. Too short!
I've never sent a voice message, just emails, some of them got read on air, some answered via mail, hope all of them read! I also been around in the forums since...well when you started them asking us who would we want to be interviewed. (keep reading , got a point to go).
Well, I answered "the Engadget guys", which I followed since the first podcast after getting the Mp3 player, the one which featured Ryan and Peter for the first time. That said, I just wanted to create a match, hehe.
Enough 'bout me story. V., since you started as a backup voice, you added something special to the podcast. Then your role a an Apple devote was I nice constrast, then you passed as the "young person around to ask" and then, as I recalled in Feb. '06, finally as a cohost.
It's been a long road, for you, for us. Let's keep going, it's fun ahead.
Thank you Veronica for all the great times you've given us. You've made us laugh countless times since you came on the podcast. You feel like a friend to us here in Buzztown and you always will be. Can't wait to see your new work and hope you visit often. Good bye.
Patrick
I discovered Buzz Out Loud my first year at community college (I know, TOTAL over archiver hah), it was pretty boring and I didn't really make many friends. But whenever I was bored I'd just flip on my YP-T9 and would have a good laugh. Thanks V for being part of the crew which got my throw it. You'll be missed so much
, I really love all the stuff the Buzz Crew does for the site, and your videos for Crave and reviews were great. But change is good, best of luck at the new job. It sounds cool, and ill be sure to check it out.
Bye!
-Joe
You are one in a Million!
For all the work that you have done and all the moments that made it so unique about you and the podcast... you will be miss....
Rock on V.... ![]()
And keep up the good work. We'll be watching. ![]()
Thank you for all the great moments on BOL, we will miss you
Veronica,
Like so many listeners, I'm also very much going to miss you adding to the "dynamic trio" that BOL has had since I started listening just over a year ago. All your clever zingers and witty comments will be missed on the show on top of doing the behind the scenes production efforts. I look forward to seeing what you create next!
...And I guess I must have made "space comments" that amused or otherwise interested you - I'm glad you've enjoyed them! That's a big compliment to an aerospace engineer!
Whenever I come across thinking of bacon - I'll probably have some amusing Veronica moment play in my head.
oh - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Warmest wishes,
Shalin
P.S. - so...when are those Mahalo video podcasts going to become available anyhow? And...you'll probably continue to participate on the CNET forums, right?
Thanks for all the memories and your coined phrases that should be trademarked (such as "utter poo").
I found myself today in the car constantly humming Harvery the wonder hamster, a song I've only heard through BOL!
Veronica –
What a wild ride it’s been! There’s been good times and bad times and everything in between. Net Neutrality – Exploding Batteries – Snakes on a Dud – DirecTv Tivo split – Mr Littlejeans – Zune Squirts – Google Lawsuit du jour – Apple Fan Girl – sports h8tr…”sometimes I accidentally see part of the game when I am watching the Super Bowl Commercials????”…DRM DRM DRM DRM DRM DRM (what was that nickname…..Doctor M????) and of course going out on a high note…the Iphone actually living up to its hype!
Everything that goes in my ears is inspired by you – I only wish I could give some of it back (but Ear Wax is probably an inappropriate gift).
What I will remember the most is how much my heart ached when James went missing and how hearing your daily voices during the search and eventual memorial connected me to a community stronger than any in 1st Life. This has been a very special experience and although we are happy for you and your new opportunity - you will be deeply missed.
You’ve definitely lived your life like an Ipod in a Lightening Storm – leaving a very impressive mark!!!!!
Good Luck and We love you!!!
